Kaunertal Glacier - a ski paradise

In addition to the cable car, which ends at 3000 m above sea level. on the ridge on the Italian border, where the impassable terrain does not provide the average tourist with the possibility of further wandering, it is possible to walk to the glacier from the parking lot and walk through the glacier fissure. The Serfaus Fiss Ladis Ski Area is also nearby. There are 214 km of conscientious and well-groomed slopes waiting for guests, reaching up to an altitude of 2,828 m.

The Kaunertal Glacier is located in North Tyrol. Tyrol is an Austrian federal state located in the western part of the country. The largest and capital city is Innsbruck, others such as Kufstein, Telfs, Lienz or Schwaz. Tyrol is a mountainous area, practically entirely occupied by the Alps. The Tyrol area is divided into two parts, namely North Tyrol and the smaller East Tyrol.
